Give your kids an unforgettable experience in Yangshuo! Omeida’s Summer Camp in China is a Chinese immersion program held in Yangshuo, one of China’s top outdoor adventure destinations. This camp welcomes children and teenagers from all over the world, ages 7 to 17. Offering a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Chinese language and culture.

At Omeida, teachers and staff prioritize your children’s safety, ensuring they feel comfortable in terms of physical, emotional, and social well-being. In addition to language teachers and camp activity organizers, there is at least one camp leader for every seven students, ensuring your children are always in safe hands. To further ensure safety outside of classes, students stay in our all-inclusive dormitory buildings. Here, living assistants oversee Summer Campers daily lives and maintain regular communication with parents. Our staff provides 24/7 support for children in both the school and dormitory buildings

Omeida offers daily Chinese language sessions led by experienced teachers. Language classes are designed to accommodate your children's Chinese proficiency and learning style. Students will gain a deeper understanding of China's cultural history through conversations with locals and participating in traditional events, in addition to classroom language learning.
Omeida is located in the picturesque region of Yangshuo, which is known for its stunning karst mountains and scenic rivers. The summer programs campus is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Campers can participate in a variety of adventurous activities, including rock climbing, hiking, and cycling through breathtaking landscapes. Water-based activities such as kayaking and bamboo rafting on the Li river add to the joy. The natural surroundings make an ideal setting for developing a connection with nature and encouraging exercise.
Campers take part in cultural activities like calligraphy, traditional music, and Chinese cooking classes. These activities improve language skills and provide in-depth insights into Chinese customs and traditions. Children and teenagers will gain confidence, teamwork skills, independence, and form new friendships with peers from different backgrounds.

As a camper with Omeida, you will have Chinese lessons everyday, participate in various group activities covering Chinese calligraphy, cooking classes, sports activities, weekend trips to tea fields and rice plantations as well as have the chance to immerse yourself in one of the world’s most fascinating and historical cultures.
Morning: Chinese Language class from 09.25 to 12.00
Afternoon: Culture activity from 14.00 to 16.35
Daily review from 17.00 to 18.00
Evenings: Social activity from 19.00 to 21.00*
* For kids without accompanying parent. Kids with parents are welcome to join but do not need to.

In the mornings, the students learn Chinese in small classes of 2-8 students.
In the afternoons, the students all join into one group to take part in the cultural classes. Every year the students leave Omeida with new friends for life!
Omeida's teachers are eager to welcome and mentor all pupils at the summer camp. They are dedicated about making Chinese learning interesting and easy for students, and they specialize in teaching Chinese as a second language. They are patient and compassionate, and they understand that children need time and support when acquiring new skills. Our staff has been expertly educated to break down course content into easy-to-remember pieces that accommodate all skill levels, ages, and learning styles.
We exclusively hire fully qualified teachers with substantial teaching expertise to accompany students through their Chinese learning journey in China. This enables quick improvement and a good classroom experience at Omeida. Teachers and students quickly become friends, which swiftly cultivates a love of learning Chinese!
Our teachers customize their teaching approaches based on their student's ages and learning styles. They are energetic, using interactive methods and playing fun games with students in class. We recognize that children learn much faster when the subject is presented in a pleasant and entertaining way!
This differs from other schools where you may have to deal with large classes and course content that focuses on memorization and repetition. We guarantee that you'll learn quickly and have a great time. Come experience what sets us apart at Omeida!
We will place you in a class with other students at a similar level anywhere from beginner to proficient.
A placement test is given before starting your course in order to make sure you are placed at the correct level.
We will arrange a placement test a week before your scheduled arrival. This will be at a time of your convenience and usually through WhatsApp or WeChat.
Throughout your course, your teacher will make weekly evaluations on your progress and may periodically move you up to a new level.
There are no requirements to apply. We welcome students from 7 to 17.
We do ask that children younger than 12 are droped off at school by an accompanying adult. As we have 24/7 supervisor from our staff you can just bring them to school and pick them up at the end of the camp.
For children 12 to 16 who are independent enough and whose parents agree, they can travel on their own and we pick them up and send them off to the airport or train station at the end of the camp.
Many parents also choose to travel with their children to Yangshuo and leave them at school during the camp, while they enjoy their own holidays in the area. It is also possible to drop off and pick up your kids every day.
You can choose between one week or two full weeks of fun activities!
